For the 2023 AMPP Cares, AMPP members will team up to help build 100 Corrosion Toolkits (cKits), to be delivered to Denver area high school teachers. AMPPCares allows members to give thanks to our host city!
Lets promote education!
To put in perspective, just one cKit can serve an entire classroom which is a fun and stimulating learning experience for students, with hands-on curriculum for high school teachers to challenge, inspire and educate their students on coatings and corrosion.
Requirement:
To be a volunteer at AMPPCares, you must be registered to attend the conference.
Days to Volunteer:
Hands on: On Tuesday, March 21 and Wednesday, March 22, 2023. (Morning and/or Afternoon)
Ways to volunteer:Build cKits: Attendees can drop-in the student quad area on the exhibit hall floor to assemble as many cKits as time allows them. In addition to the 100 cKits that will be donated to Denver area high schools, AMPP Members and conference attendees can help us reach our goal of building 1000 cKits for our EMERGE summer program.
Be a facilitator: We invite you and the Rocky Mountain Chapter members to volunteer as facilitators of the event with an AMPP staff.
- As a facilitator you will remind builders of the process, guide them on where to begin, explain what AMPP Cares is doing this year, answer basic questions as needed.
Time to Volunteer:
Please, fill out the application form and check what bracket times you can volunteer your time.
You can volunteer in increments of 30 minutes and no need to stay the entire two-hour bracket.
