last person joined: 7 months ago

The Defense Corrosion Modeling Technical Community of Interest is a group of people (both AMPP members and nonmembers) who have come together for the purpose of furthering a common cause by sharing wisdom, knowledge, information and/or data related to corrosion modeling for the aerospace defense industry. This group will identify the state-of-the-art in corrosion modeling, simulation, and data analytics and discuss the current gaps and needs in data and methodology.

I wanted to let you all know that the call for abstracts is now open for the 2025 AMPP annual conference: Call for Abstracts - AMPP Annual Conference + Expo

Topic descriptions are attached. Several topics have open chair/vice chair positions, and we are seeking volunteers.

The research-in-progress symposia call will open separately in September.

We've added a topic specific to aerospace corrosion modeling:

Aerospace Corrosion Modeling and Environmental Severity
The session will include topics related to corrosion modeling and model-based systems engineering for the aerospace defense industry. Papers will identify the state-of-the-art in corrosion modeling, simulation, and data analytics and discuss the current gaps and needs in data and methodology.

There are also topics on machine learning, corrosion management, digital twins, and corrosion data analytics that may be of interest.

Feel free to spread the word!

    Thanks,

    Brad
