I am a Materials and Corrosion Engineer in BP America based in Houston, TX. I currently support a variety of upstream/downstream/new energy projects as a Materials/Corrosion/Welding focal point/SME. I got my Ph.D. degree from Georgia Tech with a research focus of pitting corrosion and electrochemical testing. I started working in 2015 as a Materials and Corrosion Engineer in AMMI - Materials and Corrosion Asset Support team in Shell Technology Center Houston. I later joined Shell (at the time) Deer Park Refinery and gained invaluable field experience supporting an operating asset. I have experience in focused asset integrity review, failure mode and effect analysis, risk based inspection, failure analysis, material selection, and corrosion modeling. I have published over 10 corrosion-related research papers in journals and conference proceedings.
