Reliability, Integrity and Sustainability in Construction and Infrastructure (Concrete/Pipelines)
This RIP symposium is seeking abstracts that cover the gathering of current research and future trends on reliability, integrity and sustainability in construction and infrastructure sectors. As we progress in growing a circular economy, novel strategies are required to address the sustainability challenge on resilient infrastructure solutions towards achieving net-zero emissions and reducing carbon footprint.
Topics related to corrosion mitigation and prevention in the broaden area of asset structural integrity and reliability are highly encourage, including those addressing construction sector, off-shore an on-shore facilities and pipeline infrastructure, industrial plants, building and architecture, and engineering structures among others.
Our intention is to cover different angles of materials protection and performance for sustainable development. Ideally, we want to provide a sharing platform for the research work involving electrochemical and surface characterization techniques, interface mechanisms related to localized and uniform corrosion, environmentally assisted cracking, preferential weld corrosion, cathodic protection and interference, corrosion inhibitors and chemical treatments, additive manufacturing, new corrosion monitoring techniques, modeling and simulation.
Furthermore, communications of high interest include experimental and computational analyses (data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, etc.) applied to materials and/or assets performance and lifetime prediction, addressing sustainable development.
