Pete Ault is President and Senior Consultant at KTA-Tator/Elzly Technology, a corrosion engineering and consulting company which provides services to diverse clients including the bridge industry, Department of Defense, and industrial clients. He is a registered professional engineer in New York and New Jersey and received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University and a MBA from Drexel University’s Lebow College of Business. He has studied coatings and corrosion phenomena on a wide variety of applications; some of which include ships, bridges, pipelines, offshore platforms, storage tanks, and historic structures. He holds coatings specialist certifications from AMPP (formerly SSPC and NACE International), and is actively involved in AMPP, SNAME, and ASTM. He is also a member of the TRB Standing Committee on Structures Maintenance and serves as chair of the Bridge Steel Coatings Subcommittee (AHD30(2)). Mr. Ault has worked with all manner of concrete and steel infrastructure and has had direct responsibility for multiple contracts with the Federal Government and various state and local authorities (including the TriBorough Bridge Authority in the City of New York). Mr. Ault has directed coatings and corrosion research projects for the National Shipbuilding Research Program, US Navy, Marine Corps, Army, and Federal Highway Administration.
