The NACE International Member Online Forum is a platform open to all NACE members looking to collectively shape and influence the corrosion industry among their professional peers, while also encouraging international and cross-industry networking opportunities. The Forum requires several online moderators to help foster conversation, answer questions, and act as a liaison between users (NACE members) and NACE Staff.
Volunteer Moderators will serve 4 month terms, with a maximum of two consecutive terms.
You can view the online Forum here.
Responsibilities include:
1. Foster discussion: Begin new posts (1 per week), respond to questions, and welcome new members.
2. Maintain order: Monitor the forum for posts or replies that are off-topic or disregard the guidelines/terms and conditions. The moderator should take a neutral stand in disagreements, and report any misuse of the forum to NACE Staff.
3. Help collect feedback and suggestions about ways we can improve the forum.
4. Foster a sense of community in the forum. This can be done by getting involved in discussions, responding to posts (especially those no one else responds to), and encouraging others to do so. NOTE: You do not have to reply to every post.
