A technical seminar titled “Recent Progress in Advanced Characterization of Localized Corrosion and Active Protective Coatings” will be delivered by Arjan Mol, Professor of Corrosion Technology and Electrochemistry at Delft University of Technology. The seminar focuses on advanced approaches for analyzing localized corrosion processes in materials, particularly aluminium alloys, using modern characterization techniques such as in-situ transmission electron microscopy for real-time atomic-scale analysis. It also highlights the development of active protective coatings, environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitors, and strategies to improve coating durability, protection efficiency, and long-term performance.
