NACE Education is looking for coating subject matter experts (SME) that have a deep understand of one or more of the following topics, as it relates to Surface Preparation: Abrasive Blasting, Concrete, Water Jetting, and/or Chemical Stripping, which would be interested in volunteering their time to help design and develop course content in these areas. The SME will work collaboratively with an instructional designer to guide them through the course development process.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge and field experience in one or more of the topics: Abrasive Blasting, Chemical Stripping, Concrete, and/or Water Jetting, as they relate to Surface Preparation
- Currently teaching CIP 1, CIP 2, PCS 1, and/or PCS 2, is preferred
- Ability to bring life and work experiences to the subject matter
- Able to see the course through to completion
- NACE Member in good standing
- Good written and verbal communications skills in the English language
- Access to a computer and the internet
- Assist in writing course objectives and topics to satisfy NACE standards
- Help writing engaging course content that support established learning objectives
- Provide suggestions for course resources, such as mentor tips/stories, job aids, graphics, pictures etc.
- Suggest course interactions such as exercises and case studies to enhance learning
- Write review questions to test the knowledge gained by the participant
- Review and edit course materials in a timely manner
- Meet all agreed-upon due dates for delivery of content and reviews
- Meet with instructional designer weekly, or as needed, to ensure project stays on track
