The Event Coordinator opportunity is for two years term. Normal dedication is of about 4-6 hours per month. Additional dedication may be required during events.
Trinidad and Tobago Section normally holds technical exchange events in the area of corrosion, inspection and technical integrity and also maintains a webpage for promotion and marketing within local members and area industry. The Event Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and planning Section events and works jointly with Marketing Coordinator and Section Officers to develop sponsorships and relationships with industrial sector interested in supporting corrosion technical events. Handles event planning and volunteer requirements.
Volunteer Responsibilities: Planning, implementation and follow-up for all Section special events. Maintains schedule of yearly events and provides updates and alerts on requirements. Develop and maintains record of volunteer requirements and work with Section Chair and NACE International HQ to fulfill opportunities through Volunteer Manager System. Handles all aspects of volunteer activities, coordination and supervision. Coordinates events logistics, publicity in coordination with Section Chair and in preparing promotional materials with Marketing Coordinator. Cultivate and expand sponsorship development and fulfillment jointly with Section Chair. Coordinate registration process and supervise any event contractor as agreed with Section Officers. All Section events and activities are to support NACE International mission to protect people, assets and environment against corrosion, and for the professional betterment of all NACE Trinidad Section members.
Support System: Volunteer will work in direct collaboration with Section Officers and will seek advice as necessary from NACE Head Quarters for any support and guidance in keeping with the NACE image. Volunteer will also work closely with Section Trustee, Section Chair, Marketing Coordinator and Webmaster to ensure consistency in messages.

Requirements: English speaking NACE member in good standing, based in Trinidad. With strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications. Ability to write business letters. Comfortable with making presentations. Strong networking ability and easy to relate to and associate with. Ability for planning, to meet deadlines and to work independently.
