All AMPP Chapters are currently soliciting self-nominations for leadership positions.
Job descriptions for each officer position have been created to help each potential nominee better understand the duties for each role.
Chapter officer job descriptions can be found on page 9 of the AMPP Chapter Procedural Document
Officer Terms:
Chapter Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Secretary/Treasurer and Member-at-Large
Elected by Chapter members for two-years term of office extending from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2026.
Chapter Delegate
Elected by Chapter members for three-year term of office extending from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2027.
General Requirements:
- To be considered on the Chapter Officer ballot, all candidates must be a member in good standing of AMPP and the Chapter.
- You must have regularly attended chapter meetings or be otherwise engaged in chapter activities.
- All Chapter Officers are bound to the Chapter Affiliation Agreement as established by AMPP. If your Chapter does not have one on file, you will be required to sign one.
Additional Position Requirements:
- Chapter Delegate
- Must have prior experience as chapter Treasurer, Secretary/Treasurer, Chair, or Delegate
- Must meet the required KSA’s outlined in Article 5 of the AMPP Chapter Procedural Document
- Chapter Chair
- Must have prior experience as chapter Secretary, Treasurer, (and/or) Secretary/Treasurer, Vice Chair, Chair, or Delegate
- Chapter Treasurer (or Secretary/Treasurer, if applicable)
- Must have prior volunteer experience with the chapter
Selection Process:
Nominations for Chapter leadership positions will be sent to the Chapter members for ballot. Election ballots will be sent November 25, 2024, and will close on December 12, 2024. Results of ballots will be shared by December 20, 2024.
Please keep in mind that you can only self-nominate for ONE position.
The deadline for submitting a self-nomination is October 15, 2024.
