The final Coatings+ conference will conclude in December 2021 with a Corrosion Under Insulation workshop from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. local time on Thursday. The Dec. 16 workshop takes place at the Phoenix Convention Center, North Hall A-C.
Panelists include Don Vickers of Vickers LLC; Kat Coronado of International Paint; Art MacKinnon of Hempel; Mike Pardo of Aspen Aerogels; and Kristin Michelle Leonard of ExxonMobil Research & Engineering.
This panel discussion will cover the following topics:
- Mechanism of CUI;
- Coatings used under insulation, as described In SP0198;
- Issues of CUI as faced by owners;
- How this process occurs;
- What its economic impact might be locally and globally;
- Failure mechanisms;
- How to detect and identify;
- How to classify; and
- Possible preventive actions.
There will also be time for the audience to ask questions of our panel.
