Houston, Texas and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — The Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP), the global authority in materials protection and performance, has announced Jennifer Colunga as its new chief financial officer. With more than 20 years of progressive experience in finance and operations management, Colunga brings a wealth of expertise to lead AMPP's financial strategy and drive the company's continued growth.
At AMPP, Colunga will be a key thought partner to the organization’s chief executive officer (CEO) and executive leadership team. In this capacity, she will have oversight of every facet of AMPP's financial management. Colunga's responsibilities encompass various organizational finance functions, including audit, treasury, tax, insurance, operations planning and analysis (OP&A), corporate controllership, and business finance and analytics.

Before this appointment, Colunga served as controller at Pioneer Contract Services Inc., overseeing all aspects, from cash management to audit. In 2021, Colunga served as the vice president of finance and accounting at Gridiron, LLC, where she managed the implementation and integration of NetSuite, enhancing the company's closing and consolidation process. She successfully integrated a $50M acquisition into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and oversaw financial policy development, budget planning, risk management, and tax compliance.
As a former corporate controller at Pharos Marine Automatic Power, Inc., she aligned financial policies, established reporting systems, and navigated the transition of complex global financial operations. As vice president of finance at Microwave Networks Incorporated, Colunga prepared annual budgets, provided quarterly performance updates for the board of directors, and managed treasury functions.

Colunga holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of St. Thomas in Texas. She is also a certified public accountant in the State of Texas.
