What have the Community members found to be the most effective coating inspection applications? Inspectors have used a variety of mobile device and web-based applications to record field and shop measurements and observations. Some are very comprehensive (TruQC, now TRU) and some are simplistic copies of paper forms. Which applications focus on quality rather than production reports?

    Hey Brent!

My apologies for not checking this sooner. I have used Tru as you mentioned and several others. There are some new players I have seen pop up as well.  Docupaint is one I know of.

    Good Day Everyone

I am a personal fan of the DeFelsko PosiSoft Desktop for helping with my reports. Just generating reports doesn't quite make sense, so one does have to incorporate more details

    Mika,

There was a time period where I had 3 or 4 jobs all in relatively close proximity to one another. I had my hands full driving to and from each site and then of course the actual inspections as well. That first week, I spent probably 5-6 hours just on reporting. I started to look at posisoft since most of these jobs were simple hold points and I really fell in love with it after I got used to it. It's definitely limited and a bit cumbersome for lengthy narratives but for raw data it does a very good job. I love the RTR in your photo, I hope I get one of those some day 😎
