The Inhibitors Technical Community of Interest is a group of people (both AMPP members and nonmembers) who have come together for the purpose of furthering a common cause by sharing wisdom, knowledge, information, and/or data to study and disseminate information regarding the use of corrosion and scale inhibitors.

    Dear Members,

    Call for Speakers at AMPP2023 Meeting

    The Technical Community of Interest (TCI) on Inhibitors will hold an Information Exchange Meeting at the AMPP conference on 3/22/23 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. The format of the meeting will be 2 short relevant presentations (15-20 minutes) followed by discussion and I am currently looking for volunteers to present. Therefore, if you are interested in participating, please let me know at aejenkins@slb.com. Suggested areas of interest are below but this is not an exhaustive list:

    1.       Sustainable and environmentally acceptable inhibitors

    2.       Inhibitors for renewable energy and energy transition industries

    a.       CCUS

    b.       Geothermal 

    c.       Hydrogen 

    3.       Use of digital technologies to:

    a.       Develop and test inhibitors in the laboratory 

    b.       Monitor and optimise inhibitors in the field 

    4.       Advances in inhibitor technology for traditional industries

    a.       Oil and gas (including production, stimulation and drilling

    b.       Water treatment

    c.       Vapor phase

    d.       Atmospheric corrosion inhibitors 

    The meeting is part of the TC05 Corrosion Management group meeting and the timetable for the whole TC meeting is as follows:

    ·         TC 05 Corrosion Management Technical Committee                                3/22/23 from 8-Noon

    ·         Data Analytics Information Exchange (TCI)                                      3/22/23 from 8:00 am to 9:00 am

    ·         Inhibitors Information Exchange (TCI)                                                  3/22/23 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am

    ·         Monitoring, Measuring, and Inspection Information Exchange (TCI)    3/22/23 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am

    ·         Mechanism Assessment Information Exchange (TCI)                 3/22/23 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
