The Below Grade Service Technical Community of Interest is a group of people (both AMPP members and nonmembers) who have come together for the purpose of furthering a common cause by sharing wisdom, knowledge, information, and/or data for pipelines and tanks that are utilized in buried service environments.

    Does anyone have, or is there an AMPP document, with pictures of the different types of coatings our crews find when digging up old pipe?  I.e. pictures showing the difference between mastic, hot applied, and cold applied tape and coal tar enamel?

    I'm unaware of a document right now at the moment. I would be interested in seeing a document if we have one. I did come across a Polyken wrapped gas line today. I can post pictures if you're interested.

    Previously buried exposed cold wrapped pipeline. I was on a job where said contractor ran a pipeline under said producer.
    Contractor utilize a hydro vac to expose said producers line, so said contractor can run a line under. 

    Polykin wrapped pipe cold applied. I'm not sure how long line has been buried for. Thanks for allowing me to share.
