    Dear Experts,

    Good day.

Subject : Clarification in Production Weld Hardness Testing-Reg.
    Reference Standard : NACE-SPO 472 - 2016.
Job type : Pipings Welds (Sour Service)

The client specified that the production weld hardness performed as per NACE SP0472. When we refer to the standard, base material greater than 485 MPa (70,000 psi) is exempt from this requirement.
Our pipe material is API5L X60 PSL2/Eq with a minimum tensile strength of 515 MPA. The welding process used is GTAW+SMAW (ER70S-2+E8018-C3) (Piping Welding).

Whether all piping weld joints are exempt from production weld hardness testing?.

    Kindly Clarify.
