    Dear Colleagues,

    Would like to know if any of you have had the opportunity to apply the t8/5 concept as a thermal method to control weldment HAZ hardness.  Basically, would like to know how this concept is applied during weld production, and if the intention of the referenced standard practice is to validate the calculated t8/5 by actually measuring the temperature vs time during production.
