    Hello, everyone,

I'm the DPM of SP21491, "Assessment Method for Corrosion Inhibitor Used in Gas Gathering and Transportation System". In this standard, properties and performance indicators of corrosion inhibitors which are the widely considered as key elements are as fellows:
    1.Inhibition Performance (Control Corrosion Rate ): ≤0.1mm/a
    2.Appearance: Uniform Liquid
    3.Pour Point: ≤0℃
4.Compatibility: Compatible with field water and other chemicals used in the pipelines
5.Foaming tendency: The volume of foam formed < 30% of agitated liquid and < 3% within 180 seconds
6.Emulsion tendency: If emulsion is formed, it should dissipate within 600 seconds, and all phases should be clearly visible
    7.Flash Point: ≥56℃ (closed cup)
The properties and indicators listed above are based on our information from several gas fields and some literatures such as standards, tender informations etc. Due to the possible limitations on accesss to first-hand knowledge/information, I'd appreciate your opinions on this. And everyone is welcome to join us on working this standard.
