The Oil & Gas Corrosion & Scale Inhibition Technical Community of Interest is a group of people (both AMPP members and nonmembers) who have come together for the purpose of furthering a common cause by sharing wisdom, knowledge, information, and/or data for the application and evaluation of chemical and physical methods of corrosion control and control of related problems, such as scale, bacteria, paraffin, and hydrates, for oil and gas.

    Happy New Year, colleagues

This TCI is growing and now has 61 persons involved.   Welcome to the new members.

As you all know, this TCI covers a lot of topics, and so our goal is to create a good set of threads that will cover specific topics.    Here are a few that we can start immediately:
    1) sour corrosion
    2) sweet corrosion
    3) mineral scale (not caused by corrosion)
    4) corrosion inhibitors (general)
    5) scale inhibitors (general)
    6) MIC
    7) paraffins, asphaltenes, and hydrates

Ideally, we would want to create an atmosphere in these chats that approached the TEG meetings at NACE conferences.  We had great discussions about a many issues within each of these group.  So, perhaps we can do the same here.  The "thread" structure will help us get this started.  I'll create a thread for each of these topics and will set them up as Discussions.  We can add (or removed) threads as we go forward.     You can also start a thread with a question.

so, I'll get us started.  Let's see where we go
