The Military and Defense Technical Community of Interest is a group of people (both AMPP members and nonmembers) who have come together for the purpose of furthering a common cause by sharing wisdom, knowledge, information, and/or data for military assets that are utilized by the Dept of Defense.

    Hello to all my fellow corrosion prevention colleagues in the Defense community! My name is Patrick Cassidy and I have had the honor of being selected by the AMPP Technical Program Committee (TPC) as chair of the new AMPP Technical Committee (TC) for Defense. Over the next few months, I hope to turn this community into a place where like-minded colleagues can interact and share best practices, lessons learned, ask questions, lament failures, and generally stay on top of current technologies. Currently we have three Technical Communities of Interest (TCIs), Air/Space, Land, and Navy/Marine. I will be working within our community to identify new potential TCIs and also validate that the current TCIs are suitable.

    I am also looking for volunteers to serve on the overall TC 09 Defense committee, which will appoint TCI managers and provide oversight to the community, while reporting back to the main AMPP TPC. If you are interested in either being a TCI manager or serving as a Defense committee member, please contact me. Thank you and looking forward to working with you all!
