Time to renew your certification?

Renewing your hard-earned credential is simple and takes less than 10 minutes. As part of your renewal, the ethics requirement course or equivalent training must be completed as well as requirements to enter Professional Development Hours (PDH) for all certifications.

  1. Step 1 - Submit application

    Enter PDH’s
    Login to your AMPP Profile and click “My Certification Portal.” Once your certification portal loads, find “Manage your PDH’s” in the sidebar. Add all PDH’s into the system before clicking "Pay."

    Complete Ethics Course Requirement
    Make sure you have successfully completed the Ethics for the Corrosion Professional eCourse or equivalent training. If already completed, this will be reflected in your certification portal.

    Add Work Experience
    Once the Ethics Course requirement and all PDH’s have been entered, your certification portal home page will prompt you to enter your work experience before you click “Renew.”

  2. Step 2 - Pay renewal fee

    Finalize your application by clicking "Pay," where you can securely enter your payment details. Members get a special discount, so make sure you are an active member before finalizing your purchase.

  3. Step 3 - Confirmation

    Your application is typically processed within 2-3 days – Some renewals take longer to process. Be sure to renew before you expire to ensure you retain the benefits of your hard-earned credential.

  1. Step 1 - Download your recertification application

    We have all of the application forms available for you in one place.

  2. Step 2 - Fill out your form

    Fill out the PDF form with all of your information and details for your recertification requirements.

  3. Step 3 - Send your form to AMPP

    Submit your form back to AMPP by email. An AMPP staff member will process your form and reach out to you with a link for secure payment information. If any additional information is required, our dedicated staff will be in touch. Your application is typically processed within 2-3 days – Some renewals take longer to process but your certification stays current during this time to ensure you retain the benefits of your hard-earned credential.

Application and renewal resources

Need an extension on your renewal? We offer a 90-day grace period for all certifications, but if additional time is needed, extensions can be granted. Please send extension requests to CertificationRenewal@ampp.org with the subject line 'Extension Request Needed'.

As you prepare for renewal, please visit My Certification Portal to log and manage your work experience and Professional Development Hours (PDH's) needed. Your work experience and PDH's will be submitted as part of your renewal application but you can input PDH's at any time.
