Submit your abstract today, be recognized for your ideas at AMPP Annual Conference + Expo, and join us in Denver, Colorado from March 19-23, 2023.

Chemistry Issues in Shale Oil and Gas Development and Production

This forum will provide a platform for industrial experts to discuss the challenges and corresponding chemical solutions encountered in the shale oil and gas fields development and production, including the industrial best practices and new advancements in control of bacteria, corrosion and scale during hydraulic fracturing and hydrocarbon recovery stages.

Corrosion Mitigation Techniques and Evaluations for Water Infrastructure

This topic will showcase new and improved techniques for corrosion prevention, mitigation, detection, and condition assessment on water infrastructure. The various structures of interest include water transmission and distribution pipelines, storage tanks, gates, and other water control structures. Protective coatings and cathodic protection are the primary methods for corrosion mitigation, and new options for long-term corrosion protection and enhanced condition assessment tools are needed for these aging structures.

Before submitting an abstract

  • Confirm your company/institution will allow you to travel to the Annual Conference next year present your work in-person if your abstract is accepted. There will be no virtual presentations in 2023.
  • If you do not have a username and password from AMPP, you will need to create a new profile when you click the submission link. We apologize for the inconvenience.
  • If you have a username and password from AMPP but you cannot remember your password, please reset it when you click the submission link. Do NOT create a new username as it will create multiple records in our database.

To submit an abstract

  • Once you have confirmed your company supports your participation in the Annual Conference, review the list of informational topics to determine which session aligns with the work you are submitting for consideration.
  • Click the submission link for the session you want to submit your abstract.
  • Log-in to your AMPP profile. If you do not have an existing profile, please complete the steps to create a new profile.
  • Complete all required information:
    • Abstract Title
    • Background that describes the purpose of this work
    • Indicate whether this work has previously been presented at another conference or in another publication
    • Abstract (150-200 words)
    • Describe how this presentation will advance the industry
    • Select up to 10 keywords that relate to your submission
    • Select up to 5 industries that relate to your submission
    • Identify the type of presentation (Case Study, Review, New Product, New Research, Other)
    • Describe the level of complexity (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
    • Add secondary/co-authors, if applicable
  • Submit your abstract.
