NACE Latin America Area (LAA) Newsletter is published twice a year, articles submitted are for the July 2017 Newsletter. The LAA Newsletter Writer writes articles on the subject of corrosion with relevant experiences in corrosion prevention and control in industries as reported from the local Sections and industry contributors. Experiences may include technical content with emphasis on implementation of best practices for corrosion prevention, case studies, technological advancement and solutions, lessons learned which will be of interest of the corrosion community or any other corrosion content as suggested by Section Officers or other volunteers. Articles related to relevant local Section events will also be published. The writer is contributor of written technical content that merit publication for the intention of knowledge sharing.
The Section Officers also provide support in generating ideas, exchange technical data as necessary and approving submitted content for publishing.
A volunteer writer may contribute as frequent as possible and articles will be published depending on newsletter space and commitments. Deadlines need to be strictly observed.
Requirements: Articles are to be submitted in months of November through May to be published in the July edition. Articles are to be submitted no later than May 15th to allow time for the editor to review and edit. Newsletter is in Spanish, but some material could be in English. Recognized experience in the area of corrosion prevention and control. Strong writing skill and research inclined. Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently as well as part of a networking technical team. Articles are to be no more than 1-2 pages and can include graphics/pictures
