NACE International is seeking Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to participate in a review of the Spanish translation of the Internal Corrosion-Basic (IC Basic) course. The project may consist of two stages:
Review of translated courses updates
The amount of new material is estimated at 10 items within the PowerPoint and manual files.
High level review of all Spanish-translated course material
We want to ensure that the existing translation is accurate and consistent. Items to be reviewed include: Course Manual files, Course PowerPoint files, Lab Manual files, Lab PowerPoint files, and Quizzes.
**All reviewers will be provided a Spanish version of NACE's Glossary of Corrosion Terminology
Qualifications
Applicants must hold one of the following NACE certifications: Internal Corrosion Technologist or PCIM Technician, OR
Have successfully completed: Internal Corrosion Basic or Internal Corrosion Advanced course, and passed the exam(s).
Requirements
- Must be a NACE member
- Fluent in written and spoken English, as well as Spanish
- Submit CV or resume
- Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement
- Work in Adobe Acrobat to note suggested changes in course files. Acrobat Adobe Reader IX is a free download and includes commenting features to access secure file-sharing web site to download files, and agree to upload reviewed files to the same site as needed
- Participate in a Project Kick-Off call, Project Wrap-Up call, as well as periodic conference calls as needed throughout the project
