The Student Poster Competition is sponsored by the Research Committee at each annual conference. Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to submit abstracts for the session and will be judged in three categories: Marcel Pourbaix for the field of corrosion science, Mars Fontana for the field of corrosion engineering, and Harvey Herro for the field of applied corrosion technology. Monetary prizes will be awarded to the first-, second-, and third-place winners in each category. Judging of entries shall be by a panel of judges selected by the Student Poster session chair and vice chair. To serve as a judge, individuals must be current NACE members and should have a combination of educational preparation and/or professional experience to critique posters in at least one of the three categories (corrosion science, corrosion engineering, and applied corrosion technology). *This is a position that requires attendance at the annual CORROSION conference.

Qualifications: PhD or post-doctoral work; OR Masters' degree with 5+ years experience is preferred but not required.
MUST attend:
- The annual CORROSION conference.
- The student poster orientation on Monday (10-11:30am) *strongly recommended for first time judges
- The student poster session on Monday evening (5-7pm)
- The student poster session on Tuesday during lunch (12-1:30pm)
- The poster judge scoring discussion on Tuesday evening (5-6pm)
