The Membership Program Committee (MPC) is seeking a Chair for the Chapter and Community of Interest Subcommittees.
Chapter Subcommittee: The Chapter Subcommittee shall oversee programs specific to AMPP Chapters on behalf of the MPC. Subcommittee is responsible for reviewing Chapter operations and developing program recommendations to the MPC to better serve Chapters and their local membership.
Community of Interest Subcommittee: The Community of Interest (COI) Subcommittee shall oversee the development and moderation of Social COIs. As needed, the Subcommittee shall review established COIs to ensure relevancy to the membership and establish new COIs to meet the needs of members. [Note: Technical Communities of Interest (TCI) are governed by the Technical Program Committee]
Subcommittee Chairs shall lead the activities of their established Subcommittee and report status updates as well as any recommendations to the MPC.
Chairs are responsible for seating their Subcommittee per the AMPP Program Committee Charter guidelines (Section 9). The Subcommittee Chair shall seek a diverse roster to ensure representation of AMPP's global membership.
Qualifications:
- General understanding of AMPP's governing documents and organizational structure.
- Leadership skills, such as, the ability to achieve consensus, team building and facilitation, and the ability to set achievable strategies and goals.
- Ability to think and act strategically.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Reflect the global nature of the organization.
Term: Term will start April 1, 2022 through December 31, 2024 (a shortened 3 year term).
Time Commitment: Selected Subcommittee Chair shall attend all MPC meetings to report on Subcommittee activities and progress. The Subcommittee shall meet at least twice annually to conduct business.
