The AMPP Award Program Committee seeks experienced volunteers to serve on a task force as judges of the 2023 AMPP Awards Program.
The awards recognize outstanding individuals and organizations with innovative, technical, and professional leadership in the broad fields of Materials Protection and Performance industry. Award nominations are evaluated in each category based on established criteria for excellence.
Task force members will range from a variety of backgrounds, within the fields of Materials Protection and Performance industry, such as engineering, science, coatings, publications, leadership among others. Task force members will review nominations submitted for an award category and need to assess each nomination based on the criteria provided by the Awards Program Committee.
Eligibility
- Availability to participate in all aspects of the selection process
- Provide feedback in a timely manner to the task force Chair
- Leadership skills, such as, the ability to achieve consensus, team building and facilitation, and the ability to set achievable strategies and goals.
- Ability to be objective in reviewing all nominations.
Requirements
- Ability to maintain confidentiality pertaining to all aspects of the selection process
- To disclose a conflict of interest in an assigned category or to a nominee (which will result in reassignment to a new category)
- To dedicate between 5-10 hours in overall volunteer time (including orientation, reviewing and selection of nominations)
