NACE International with Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is developing and executing a 2-day workshop to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on October 30-31, 2017. This will facilitate an opportunity to further the common topic of corrosion mitigation technologies and best practices to both NACE and SPE members and contacts throughout the East Asia & Pacific Area.
We would like to invite you to be a part of this workshop as a Committee Member. The Committee Members will lead the discussions in this 2-day interactive event, which will have a single technical track, no exhibits nor technical papers or manuscripts. The intent is for an exchange of ideas among the attendees and presenters through brief technical presentations followed by extended Q&A periods.
The Committee Members (also known as Discussion Leaders) shall participate in monthly program committee meetings (to begin in March 2017), where topics are finalized; workshop agenda is drafted and set; selection of topical PowerPoint presentations for discussions; and workshop progress meetings. SPE will hold these meetings at their headquarters in KL and offer conference call options for those that cannot attend in person.
SPE will fully coordinate, market and execute this workshop, and as SPE conducts their workshops differently than NACE, they will levy registration fees for these Committee Members at a heavy discount for their participation. These fees will not exceed $750/committee member and sponsorship packages will be offered for those companies that wish to support this workshop and a committee member’s registration fees. And as a part of the registration for this workshop SPE will offer a 1 year SPE membership
