Bridge

The Bridge Technical Community of Interest is a group of professionals (both AMPP members and nonmembers) that will include, owners, manufacturers, consultants, contractors and others who have come together to share and discuss issues affecting the bridge industry and new and emerging technology. Through the shared knowledge of this diverse group, both geographically and from varying viewpoints, information can be discussed about current issues for both the design phase and construction phase. This can include the selection of containment to surface preparation and materials, abrasives, coatings, solvents, etc. during the design phase and issues during the actual construction phase with the contractor’s submittals, means and methods. The sharing of knowledge on how to deal with structural issues that could be detrimental to the life of the newly applied system can be discussed along with new and emerging technologies and how they can be incorporated into bridge coatings to streamline those processes and possibly lower the overall costs.

Hydrogen

As we are transitioning to hydrogen and hydrogen natural gas blends, considering that these technologies are not yet matured, there is a need to create a TCI that can identify and address challenges with the this industry. This TCI will provide a forum where the broad scope of the technical committees focuses on hydrogen specific issues. The TCI will monitor and asses hydrogen developments that are relevant to the AMPP community. In addition, the TCI will arrange seminars and other forums for industry, government and academic colleagues to participate in including AMPP Corrosion Conference, Corrosion Week and/or Fall Meeting.

Job descriptions for each officer position have been created to help each potential nominee better understand the duties for each role.

Elected by Club members for one-year term of office extending from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.

Club Delegate
Elected by Chapter members for three-year term of office extending from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2026.

Club Treasurer
All Treasurer terms are three-years and are not currently eligible for self-nominations. If your Club has a vacancy in the treasurer position and you're interested, please apply at this opportunity.

Please keep in mind that you can only self-nominate for ONE position. The deadline for submitting a self-nomination is April 30, 2023.

Ballots for all officer positions will be sent to Club members on June 1, 2023.

Requirements: To be considered on the Club Officer ballot, all candidates must be a member in good standing of AMPP.

All Club Officers are bound to the Chapter/Club Affiliation Agreement as established by AMPP. If your Club does not have one on file, you will be required to sign one.

Selection Process: All nominations for Club leadership positions will be sent to the Chapter members for ballot. Election ballots will be sent June 1, 2023 and will close on June 23, 2023. Results of ballots will be shared by June 26, 2023.
