The University Student Design and Applied Solutions Competition challenges engineering student teams to conceptualize and design an applied solution to a real-world problem faced by the corrosion industry. It is intended to pair fresh, new perspectives to age-old issues and bring viable solutions for the industry to consider. Determining what current issue(s) would be best and most engaging for both university students and the industry is the primary function of this Steering Committee.
Each volunteer will contribute and evaluate ideas representing current industry issues for the competition to use in the 2018 event.
Qualifications: 10 years corrosion work experience. Current or previous work with university students is not required but is preferred.
