The Marine Technical Community of Interest is a group of people (both AMPP members and nonmembers) who have come together for the purpose of furthering a common cause by sharing wisdom, knowledge, information, and/or data for studying the corrosion mechanisms, causes, effects, and corrosion control remedies for ships, structures, and equipment exposed to marine environments, and to disseminate information on the research, development, and performance of materials, coatings, and improved or innovative methods to mitigate problems related to marine corrosion.

    Hello everyone! 

    I hope you're all doing well. My name is Eric Williams, and I'm excited to step into the role of the Marine TCI Manager. I look forward to working along side an excellent group of professionals and work to make this committee as strong as it can be. 

    By way of background, my career has centered around corrosion mitigation, concrete repair, and cathodic protection solutions-with a particular focus on helping owners, engineers, and contractors preserve the integrity of structures in all types of environments, including marine. I'm passionate about bridging technical knowledge with practical, real-world application, and I look forward to bringing that same energy to this committee.

    As we move forward, my goals are simple:

    • Support meaningful collaboration across our membership
    • Drive clarity and consistency in our technical work
    • Advance initiatives that bring value to the marine community
    • Ensure our committee remains engaged, productive, and aligned with AMPP's broader mission

    I'm excited to hear your ideas, learn from your experience, and continue building on the solid foundation that already exists. Over the next few weeks, I'll be reaching out with updates and looking for your input on priorities for the coming term.
