The Defense Corrosion Modeling Technical Community of Interest is a group of people (both AMPP members and nonmembers) who have come together for the purpose of furthering a common cause by sharing wisdom, knowledge, information and/or data related to corrosion modeling for the aerospace defense industry. This group will identify the state-of-the-art in corrosion modeling, simulation, and data analytics and discuss the current gaps and needs in data and methodology.

    Good Afternoon CMWG,

We wanted to discuss a few items:

    1. A few folks have requested additional guidance regarding the intent behind the excel document (see attached). The intent is to provide each technical area a means of charting project milestones and a space to provide additional comments/notes without having to reformat the powerpoint with each new iteration. Each row of the excel file should correspond to a project, each column corresponds to a quarter of the fiscal year, and the cell provides space to indicate when projects start, hit milestones, or are conducting a demonstration/validation event. The excel file is meant to be supplemental to the powerpoint file, and the powerpoint file is for presentation purposes primarily.
    2.  On Monday 8/12 at 5:30 PM, the Corrosion Modeling Working Group will be briefing John La Scala. We think it would best serve the work you all have done the last few months if a representative of each technical team would be able to brief a summary of the progress you've made in your technical area (state of the art, end use cases, challenges, and roadmap - approximately 4 slides, 10 - 15 minutes). Please let us know if there is a representative within your technical team who would feel comfortable briefing the material and is already planning to attend the ASETSDefense Workshop to present on Monday 8/12 at 5:30 PM. Please email me and I will provide the template material, which I expect can be easily populated from the Narrative Use Case docs as well as the excel and powerpoint files.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and a reminder to please email or post to the TCI the latest materials for your technical areas by Friday 8/2.

As always, thank you for your hard work!

    Alex
