35+ years experienced Consultant on Pipeline Coatings and Cathodic Protection and has been involved in following areas:
- Design review and field trials / study of failures including root cause analysis reports of various liquid (high build epoxy / polyurethane) and polymeric / thermoset coatings (Three Layer Polyethylene, Three Layer Polypropylene, FBE, Three & Two layer heat shrinkable sleeves, cold applied tapes, visco-elastic coatings etc).
-Design/ Engineering Testing and commissioning of impressed current cathodic protection system of cross-country pipelines, buried plant piping for refineries & petrochemical plants, above ground storage tanks and mounded LPG storage vessels.
-Study of effect on coatings on operational pipelines due to excessive cathodic protection.
- Study and reviewing mitigation measures on buried pipeline due to stead state DC current interference and AC current interfrence on almost + 2000 Kms pipelines
Active member of NACE India for the past 20 years. Have been a active facility on various Pipeline Corrosion Awareness Programs conducted by NACE India Gateway Section (NIGIS) since 2004.
Educational Qualifications: B.Sc Engg Electrical with Hons from Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh.
