Hi
I need some help for interpretation of requirements for solution annealing Duplex plate according to A.7 table A.24 of ISO 15156 part 3. The statement is:
"Wrought, cast and hot isostatically pressed (HIP)[15] duplex stainless steels shall— be solution-annealed and liquid-quenched or rapidly cooled by other methods"
The question is, if a solution annealed and quenched Duplex plate is formed into a header by roll forming with no intention for changing the mechanical strength, should be solution annealed again after roll forming, if the hardness is below 28 HRC?
Thank you for your contribution
Hamed,
The ISO 15156 Maintenance Panel (MP) is tasked to respond to inquiries such as this. I will forward it to them.
Regards,
Rick Southard
