The Renewable Energy Technical Community of Interest is a group of people (both AMPP members and nonmembers) who have come together for the purpose of furthering a common cause by sharing wisdom, knowledge, information, and/or data  to investigate problems, acquire service experience, exchange information, and prepare reports on the use of materials in renewable energy systems. The group is expected to have wide ranging interests encompassing biomass and biofuels, geothermal, photovoltaic and solar energy, wind energy and waste-to-energy.

    Hello All, as the chair of the TCI I see my task being to set the scene for member led discussions.

    Agenda for AMPP Conference 2023 TCI meeting on Renewable Energy (Including Waste Energy) Technical Information Exchange (TCI) on 3/23/2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  

    1. Brief introductions.
    2. Photovoltaic systems, control systems and batteries.
    3. Wind energy technologies.
    4. Waste Energy systems.
    5. Process energy recovery systems.
    6. Geothermal systems (high temperature and Ground Source Heat Pumps).
    7. Open discussion on planning for activities in the next year (virtual meetings?) and volunteers to organize.
    8. Closing
    Members are welcome to submit slides for stimulation of discussion to the chair at least 2 weeks before the meeting for formal review and acceptance to ensure that these meet AMPP requirements.  Presentations should be short and succinct.  The aim of this meeting is to encourage discussion within each area on the following topics to assist in planning for the next year activities:
    • Materials selection and maintenance issues.
    • Current research on new materials, inhibitors, coatings, process optimization.
    • Environment protection activities.
    • Issues limiting economic development.
