Coating Inspection

Hi everyone,

I'm a certified coatings inspector currently working independently and looking to take my expertise to the next level. I want to improve my oversight of paint usage and quantity tracking, as well as refine my communication skills when reporting findings to clients. I'm interested in learning more about mentorship opportunities to help guide me in these areas and provide insight into the nuances of the industry, especially when it comes to business growth, client relations, and advanced inspection techniques.

For those who have had mentors or have mentored others:

• How did you find your mentor, and what did the mentorship involve?

• What should I look for in a good mentor?

• Are there any structured mentorship programs through AMPP or other organizations?

• Any advice for building relationships with experienced inspectors who are open to mentoring?
