The Additive Manufacturing Community of Interest is a group of people (both AMPP members and nonmembers) who have come together for the purpose of furthering a common cause by sharing wisdom, knowledge, information, and/or data for studying the corrosion mechanisms, causes, effects, and corrosion control remedies for processes and products related to Additive Manufacturing for any and all applications relevant to the AMPP community, and to disseminate information on the research, development, and performance of additively manufactured products as materials, coatings, and improved or innovative methods to mitigate corrosion problems.

  • 1.  Upcoming AM Information Exchange (TCI) Meeting at AMPP Conference 2025

    Dear colleagues,

    Additive Manufacturing Information Exchange (TCI) meeting (former TEG 569X), under Technical Committee 11 Materials, will take place in AMPP Annual Conference + Expo 2025, Nashville TN. The meeting room and time have not been assigned yet, AMPP conference staff is working on that. As soon as I hear anything from them, I will post it here.

    During the information exchange meeting, informal presentations will be followed by questions and discussion (approximately 15~20 minutes per each presentation, including questions and discussion). The AMPP policies on commercialism are still required to be followed by both presenters and the audience members. The AMPP rules on "no recording or photographs" will be reiterated at the meeting. This exchange meeting is an ideal forum to learn what is new, what is going on in the communities and share concerns.

    We invite you to provide input to the information exchange meeting by introducing a topic (informal presentation) or sharing a case study. If you would like to do so, please send an email to Liu (Liu.Cao@dnv.com). Please include your name, affiliation, the title of your presentation and a few-lines summary that we will use for planning purposes.

    We are looking forward to seeing you in-person and welcoming you to the information exchange meeting.

    AMPP just updated the meeting information in their technical program and website. Our meeting has been moved to Wednesday morning in Room 202. Please update your calendar accordingly.

    We still have presentation slots available. Don't hesitate to contact me for anything about AM that you'd like to present, share or discuss.
