The Coating Inspectors Technical Community of Interest is a group of people (both AMPP members and nonmembers) who have come together for the purpose of furthering a common cause by sharing experience, knowledge, and information for the advancement of all inspectors. This group is expected to have a wide range of interests, including mentoring, "upskilling", soft skills, career advancement, networking, technical improvement and representing the inspection community within AMPP.

    Hello everyone,

    I recently presented a paper at the AMPP 2026 conference on the most effective water spray testing methodology, based on real field experience and supported by laboratory validation.

    At present, NACE No. 12 (Joint Standard) does not provide detailed guidance on how water spray testing should be executed, nor does it clearly define the most effective water quality parameters to prevent unexpected issues such as those we have encountered.

    Is there anyone here involved in the TG responsible for maintaining NACE No. 12? I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to discuss this in detail.
