Ahmed Asad

Ahmed Asad

Ahmed Asad is the Founder of Indegrity, an inspection, testing, and certification company based in Pakistan. For the last 13 years he has been successfully designing and executing CP systems for underground pipelines and above ground storage tanks. He has also overseen ECDA projects for more than 2,000 kms of pipeline network. 

Ahmed has been actively involved in his local AMPP chapter for the past six years, serving as treasurer for the last two. He was instrumental in founding Corpak, an international corrosion conference in Pakistan, which attracted Jeff Didas, then president of NACE, from the U.S. along with many other foreign delegates. 

Having successfully undertaken courses/certifications like AMPP CP level 2, 3 & 4, Ahmed plans to teach AMPP courses in times to come. In addition to his work with metallic structures, Ahmed believes that AMPP has helped him explore the human side of corrosion, enabling personal/spiritual growth alongside his technical achievements.

Sam Conner

Sam Conner

Samuel Conner is a Corrosion Engineer for CorrPro Companies and serves as Director for the AMPP Board of Directors. He is a licensed professional engineer in the Metallurgical and Materials discipline and holds AMPP CP3 and CIP1 certifications. Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Sam leads corrosion engineering and cathodic protection services for CorrPro's Department of Defense (DoD) Group, delivering solutions to extend the service life and reliability of DoD infrastructure and assets. Sam is passionate about advocating for legislative efforts to protect the United States' aging infrastructure and developing the next generation of professionals in the materials protection and performance industry.

Nooshin Galati

Nooshin Galati

Nooshin Galati has over 16 years of experience in the design, installation, and inspection of Cathodic Protection (CP) systems. She holds a CP Specialist certification from AMPP and specializes in the cathodic protection of fueling facilities and marine structures. Nooshin is highly skilled in External Corrosion Direct Assessment (ECDA) procedures, including CIPS and DCVG surveys, which are integral to pipeline integrity management programs.

As a lead CP designer, Nooshin has successfully managed multiple design-build projects, overseeing the entire process from estimation and design to installation and post-construction quality assurance. She currently serves as the lead quality control engineer for Pond’s DoD Corrosion Control group, where she manages cross-functional teams and ensures compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Dylan Goddard

Dylan Goddard

Dylan Goddard is an AMPP Senior Coatings Inspector and Protective Coatings Specialist based in Vancouver, Canada. He serves as the Coating Performance Specialist for Seaspan Ship Management’s fleet of 200 vessels, leading strategic initiatives focused on optimizing coating performance and sustainability. Dylan is dedicated to driving efficiency and fostering partnerships to promote best practices across the marine coatings sector.

Arthur “Art” MacKinnon

Arthur “Art” MacKinnon

Arthur “Art” MacKinnon is the President of AEM Consulting & Inspection, based in Texas but operating globally. He holds multiple certifications from AMPP, including Senior Certified Coatings Inspector (#16385), CUI Technician, and Corrosion Refinery Technician. Art joined NACE/AMPP in 2003 with Sigma Coatings and has over 40 years of experience in Downstream Oil & Gas, Refinery, and Petrochemical sectors, specializing in elevated temperatures, CUI, and Fireproofing.

Art’s extensive certifications have opened numerous professional doors, and he remains an active participant in AMPP Chapter meetings in Houston, Beaumont, and North Texas.

Nonye Nketa

Nonye Nketa is a solution-driven technical sales professional in Nigeria’s coatings industry. With an AMPP CIP Level 2 certification, Nonye is passionate about delivering coating solutions that protect materials from corrosion. She combines her technical expertise with project management skills to navigate the complexities of coating projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and adherence to industry standards for corrosion control.

Dr. John Watkins

Dr. John Watkins

Dr. John Watkins is an electrochemist specializing in functional coatings in Pittsburgh, PA. He has extensive experience working across industries to address complex materials science challenges using functional coatings. Currently, John is the Director of R&D at NovoLINC, a start-up focused on developing next-generation thermally conductive coatings.

John's involvement with AMPP began when he presented at a conference, showcasing his novel corrosion-resistant pretreatments. He is passionate about working with start-ups to transform innovative ideas into commercial products within the coatings industry. AMPP plays a critical role in John's ability to network and collaborate with industry experts and partners.

The AMPP Ambassador Program is designed to expand global awareness of AMPP, its mission, and its role as the leader in corrosion control, protective coatings, and materials protection. Ambassadors serve as advocates, promoting the value of AMPP membership, fostering connections within their regions, and helping drive innovation through outreach, education, and social media initiatives. This program empowers passionate members to share their personal stories and AMPP’s impact, fostering deeper engagement with the global community.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for the AMPP Ambassador Program, applicants must:

  • Be an active AMPP member in good standing.
  • Demonstrate a passion for AMPP’s mission and values.
  • Show a history of involvement in AMPP-related activities or advocacy within their regions or industries.
  • Have an active presence on social media or in regional professional communities.
  • Be committed to advancing corrosion control, materials protection, and asset preservation.

Expectations

As an AMPP Ambassador, you will be expected to:

  • Represent AMPP and advocate for its mission in your region.
  • Share AMPP-related content through social media, personal networks, and regional events.
  • Highlight local challenges and innovations in corrosion control and asset protection.
  • Participate in at least one regional or global AMPP event annually (optional but encouraged).
  • Provide regular feedback on program participation, challenges, and successes.
