This program begins with the purchase of the Nuclear Power Plant Training Course through the course schedule page, which prepares you for the Nuclear Coatings Inspection Specialty exam. The exam is scheduled separately through your My Certification Portal.

No prior training or experience is required. It is recommended that you take Basic Coatings Inspector Certification (CIP Level 1).

    160 hours of work on coatings focused projects for a nuclear power plant

  2. Enroll and complete course requirements

    Successful completion of the Nuclear Power Plant Training for Coatings Inspectors course

    Successful completion of the Ethics for the Corrosion Professional course or an equivalent training

  3. Meet certification requirements

    Current Basic Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 1), Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 2), or Senior Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 3) certification
