Chemistry Behind Corrosion

As per Corrosion Awareness Day, an event titled Chemistry Behind Corrosion is planned to develop a better understanding for first year engineering students from different universities. The aim is to highlight to the students that corrosion prevention material and technologies are available and can be applied successfully on the basis of the chemistry/electrochemistry. The event has two sessions introductory lecture on fundamentals of electrochemistry and lab demonstration. The event shall be conducted jointly by the Pakistan Chapter AMPP and Corrosion Control Research Cell (CCRC), Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan.
