The Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Community of Interest is a group of people (both AMPP members and nonmembers) assembled for the aim of investigating phase behavior, corrosion mechanisms and rates, and materials selection in CO2 separation, transport, and storage. The community aims to share experimental and experiential data, best practices, and recommendations for standards to further the safe development of CCS projects and assets globally.

    Would like to discuss concrete infrastructure preservation as a form on CO2 storage.  Would it be possible to chat before the event? 

    Zirconia's ceramic surface treatment coatings repair concrete corrosion damage, and also stop concrete from corroding due to salts and carbonation.  This will dramatically extend the lifespan of large concrete assets like dams and bridges. 

    So, we are looking to partner with carbon credit companies to help us navigate carbon credit market.

    I think it is interesting conceptually to convert large bridges, dams, and other major assets into carbon storage units.
