AMPP serves and has members in many countries. In the USA, we recognize our Veterans this year on 11 November- but I extend this thank you to military veterans in every country.
I served in the US Navy from 1981 until 2005. Although I did not consider the issue of corrosion protection during my time on active duty, I will tell you that did my fair share of shipboard painting. "Chipping and dipping" as we called it- chipped the old paint off, cleaned the rust or underlying corrosion, and then slathered on the classic Navy Grey paint on top.
To all those who painted equipment Air Force blue, Marine Corps red, Army green, Coast Guard white or Navy grey- TY.
