The Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Community of Interest is a group of people (both AMPP members and nonmembers) assembled for the aim of investigating phase behavior, corrosion mechanisms and rates, and materials selection in CO2 separation, transport, and storage. The community aims to share experimental and experiential data, best practices, and recommendations for standards to further the safe development of CCS projects and assets globally.

    Dear all,

We are excited to kick-off next week (Tuesday) the new standards committee SC 26. It is so good to see the energy around this initiative with a new document already published (Guide 21532) and new ones under development, proposed and suggested. We look forward to the meeting and receive your ideas and feedback to see how we together we can make this platform successful in its guidance and influence for this new industry.

    Kind regards,

    Hans Sonke (Chair SC 26)

    Hello TCI members,

I apologize for not including the Zoom link, for the invite to join the AMPP Standards Committee (SC 26) Kick-Off meeting. Many who tried to join received a message that they were ineligible. This is because AMPP Workspace (which is the current platform used for the development of AMPP Standards, Guides, and Technical Reports) requires you to join the Standards Committee (SC) to gain access to AMPP Workspace Standards Committees. However, this Zoom meeting was open to everyone. I am sorry for any inconvenience and every effort will be made to remedy this in the future by including the virtual meeting details and the meeting link.

If you are interested in following or participating in the development of AMPP SC 26 consensus Standards, Guides, and Technical Reports, you may join here from our website. Association membership is not required, but notably beneficial. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch with Standards@ampp.org.

We thank you for your interest in and support of the AMPP Technical Program and the AMPP Standards Program.
